Yea, Though I Walk Through The Valley

Down to civilisation.

The dirt road connected to compact earth road that connected to an asphalt road and all of it in the kind of heavenly downward turning that bicycle dreams are made of.

I was leaving the land of ethnic minorities and re-entering the land of the Lao Loum, the downland Lao.

The travelling was easy, uneventful, whippingly fast – even Charlene breathed a sigh of relief.

The landscape, as we approached the Mekong, was less mountain range and more to human scale. It was heavenly.
